We had dinner here. We liked the service and the atmosphere and the prices were fine. My husband got the seafood combo (tilapia, shrimp and cod) and thought it was OK but most of it was a little dry. He totally loved their garlic bread. I had the tomato and fried mozzerella salad. Comes with 3 cheese sticks on the salad. It is a really good start to a salad, but it isn't quite there. I asked them to go easy on the shredded cheese. In the future, I think I would ask them to do away with the shredded cheese completely, go easy on the bacon and throw on all the other veggies they have in the back. The lettuce was really crisp and the tomatoes were super delicious.

i love flanagans. this place has literally the biggest menu ive ever seen in my life. no joke! everytime my boyfriend comes home with me, he always wants go here because of their pulled pork sandwich. and the food really is darn good! ive always been a fan of their omlettes (the toast comes w/apple butter...yum), but have recently expanded my horizons to their sandwiches (also yum). the way i see it, if you're in fort wayne, you might as well go. its greasy, mostly american (theres your standard quesadilla/gyro etc on the menu) food with a super friendly staff and good service. in summertime they have a nice shaded outdoor area. also, there are so many chain restaurants in ft wayne...why not try something a little bit off the beaten path?

Ok, so this place has been open for about 25 years and I've been to it about 3 times for St. Patrick's Day where they really excel. However i finally decided to try it for dinner with my daughter. Of course the decor needs a redo, but overall it was relatively clean. The waitress got our drink orders within a minute or so of us sitting down. The menu is ridiculously expansive, which typically can be a harbinger of bad things. She asked twice if we were ready to order, but because of the many choices we had to delay. She offered some bread "right out of the oven" which turned out to be completely forgettable. A hint of sweetness and some sort of spread broiled into it. I ordered the shrimp, fish and chips and the side salad with the house dressing. My daughter ordered the 4 cheese pizza. The salad arrived with almost no lettuce, a wad of cheese in the center and the house dressing, which resembled paste, in a side cup because the waitress had warned me that she didn't like it. Needless to say, I didn't eat much of it. The shrimp and fish were ok, nothing exceptional, but not horrible either. The pizza was alright as well, but nothing out of the ordinary. The bill was reasonable. I didn't have my hopes up, so I can't say I was disappointed. I've come to expect that most people think food like this is good.

Typical chain bar food with a maudlin, fake Irish decorating scheme. The walls are decorated with assorted faux-Victorian portraits and tchochkes that have the kitsch of Disney's Haunted Mansion without the humor. Food portions certainly are large. The service is fast and cheery. The food is best described as GFS food rapidly microwaved/ deep fried. It's not expensive either. Come if you care nothing for finesse, have fatigued taste buds, and are super hungry.

We had a tremendous meal. Everything was prepared well, our waiter (Matt) was extremely attentive without the feeling that he was hovering, and we were in and out in 45 minutes at 5:30 on a Saturday!

I rarely take the time to write bad reviews, it's usually not worth it, but wow were we disappointed with Flanagan's tonight! My family and I wanted dinner fast, and at 5:30 on Saturday, every place had over an hour wait, a friend who was at the last place we tried suggested Flanagan's because of it's size. We pulled up, and sure enough there was only a 10 minute wait, that should have been our first clue. We were seated in a table with a waiter that took over 5 minutes top introduce himself and get our drink orders, nothing fancy, soda, iced tea, and lemonade for our group of 4. A few minutes later he delivered our drinks, and told us he was seated with an "8 top," and another server would take over. I understand completely as a former server in college, and didn't think twice. The waitress came to our table and apologized for the wait, but no big deal. We ordered from the menu, and drank our beverages. My iced tea was old and had that almost gone bad taste, but many restaurants have that problem. I mentioned it to her, but she didn't offer to get me a different drink, just said "o.k." and walked away, returning with my flavorless $1.99 Greek salad moments later, and without my husband's soup. 5 more minutes pass, and I hunt down the original server and ask him if he could ask her if my husband could get his soup. He apologized and brought it beck saying he couldn't find her, but she was probably just busy and didn't want my husband to wait any longer. O.k., I understand sometimes we get sidetracked, and the lack of flavor in the Greek salad I attributed to lack of dressing. The garlic bread was flavorless and dry despite being overly greasy. We still held out hope. Our meals were delivered and my $20 steak and ribs looked promising, but my "premium" baked potato (which I paid an extra $1.99 for,) was not worth it! They drowned it in cheese sauce that tasted like Cheesewiz, not REAL cheese, and that's all you could taste. Surprisingly the ribs were good once I scraped off the added on after, cold sauce, but the steak had no flavor, neither did my husband's steak. We didn't try the kids food, but it looked bland and boring. When I mentioned that I didn't like the potato to the waitress, she turned up her nose and said she should have warned me. We ordered desserts since the kids meals came with a sundae. I remembered from years ago they used to have a great cookie sundae, not any longer! The ice cream tasted old as did the whipped cream, and the cookie tasted like the pre-made dough you buy in the supermarket when you are too lazy to make your own, but just want something. My husband tried the peanut butter pie, which he said was rich and good, but overall nothing fancy, and they were served with PLASTIC spoons!!!!! My son's spoon broke in the ice cream, and after waiting several minutes, we had to ask that original server again for assistance since ours was once again no where to be found. He apologized again, and kindly returned promptly with a new PLASTIC spoon. I should mention that all of the menu cheesecake items we were told weren't available. While were there, we noticed that there was a broken piece of a sweeper on the floor, and our server walked around and over our several times, never once picking it up, nor telling someone to pick it up. It was there probably 20 minutes before another customer nearly tripped over it, and even when she saw that, he had to ask her to move it! Our bill was over $70 before tip, and with tip over $80, for that we could have enjoyed excellent steaks and food at a good place. We joked Robert Irvine will be here soon with his team to take out the ridiculous clutter, massive book they call a menu, and horrible staff! We will wait the hour plus next time for decent food and services! I hope our first server finds a better place to work, he was not bad! We were ill later when we returned home

Run of the mill food. Service was very good. Atmosphere was ok as well. But my salad had so much blue cheese crumbles on it that it tasted like straight up blue cheese. I like blue cheese but damn...take it down a notch.

My first time here... AND.... The decor and atmosphere was pretty good and about what you expect for a pub. After we ordered our 2 drinks... we sat and waited for 35 minutes until they arrived. Once the food arrived, fries were a little cold and hard.. and they advertise the best burger in town which was below average. It's a good place if you want to go chill with some buddies and have a few drinks... but if you expect more, you might be let down. Waitress disappeared for a LONG TIME and wasn't the friendliest. They earned their 2 star review.

My family and I went there for Sunday brunch. The options were limited and the bread used for the French Toast was the same bread served for free during dinner. The French Toast were poorly cooked and the toppings were disappointingly limited, only strawberries and a small amount of wiped cream. The coffee was cold and the service was nothing to brag about. Overall the experience was disappointing, and this will be the last time I go there for brunch.

I love the food here! Omelette is great....my husband has it for dinner. Chicken quesadillas are wonderful.....they are thick and have so much stuff that comes with them!! Buffalo chicken wrap is awesome. Fried mushrooms are very good too. If you order a salad, it comes with really good garlic bread.

This was "our place" and we loved it! I'm not sure what's happened but the good isn't as good, the service is failing. This is a Fort Wayne local business and I would sure hate to see it fail!

Place is dirty. Service is slow. Our last three visits over the course of three years include: 2013 - A hair in one of our meals 2014 - We find a washer in one of our meals 2015 - Bread plate is disgustingly dirty, order comes out wrong.

Went for lunch. Waitresses were in a dispute over whose section was next. Was given a quick lunch menu that after I ordered a few minutes later was told they didn't offer that menu any more. Waited 10 minutes before a waitress even came to my table. Food was ok but it was NOT a 10 $ meal at all. Will not being going back as everything was subpar

Absolutely awful table management! We had a group of roughly 20. It took over 20 minutes for all of us to even get drinks! The food delivery was so staggered that the last person received their food roughly an hour after the first! I would never recommend a group meal at this place!!!

The sautéed mushrooms were good. Rest of the visit wasn't too impressive. Menu was confusing and first third of it was nothing but drinks. Had the ribs and cheese fries. The ribs weren't bad, just over sauced with barbecue sauce. The cheese fries were ok at best, cheese wasn't too melty. I'll give them another shot another time, but their ribs and cheese fries didn't win me over.

We had dinner here with a large group (13). It's close to my grandparents' house, so we decided to try it. They had a table ready for us because we called ahead. The service was EXCELLENT. Our server was attentive and friendly and kept everything moving quickly and smoothly. Major props to her! The menu is HUGE. Almost overwhelming. Lots of fancy drink options. I got one that was tropical, like a piña colada with peach. It came and was GIGANTIC. And really good! I would've had more if it wasn't so rich! And the bonus? It was $5! My hubby and I were surprised and happy about the size and prices - definitely not like home. I went with the mix and match pasta and a house salad with the house dressing, a feta based one. The salad came and... WOW. The dressing was some of the best I have ever had. So good! I wished I had just gotten a big salad. The pasta was eh. Pretty standard. The bread that came with it was kind of sweet. Fresh - they make it in house. I wish they had more vegetarian options. They didn't have any veggie sandwiches (other than grilled cheese) or wraps. Bummer. When it came time to get the check, it was quick and easy, even though we had about 5 separate ones. It was no problem for them. I'll be back to have more of that salad dressing and another drink - meal of champions!

Used to love going here...the last couple years haven't been too impressed. Last time I tried the shepherd's pie. Awful. My husband likes the Buffalo chicken sandwich, which he's never been disapppointed with. Today even he said it was the last time we will ever sit in the bar area, if we ever bother to go back the 35 miles to get there. Todays experience was apparently the employee lounge, not the service area with actual professional people take pride in their service. It was late lunch hour, but so loud with people hollering across the bar area at one another, we couldn't even hear across our table. Then there was the back door being left open, and freezing anyone sitting within the area. Even after saying something to the server and the bus boy she blamed it on, I finally went and closed it myself. Big bold sign on the door says "brr its cold. keep door closed". Customer service is a dying art in this place.

There's a lot on their menu but none of it is outstanding. I mean you can't really go wrong with a quesadilla or burger but its nothing special. If they limited their menu a bit and focused more on quality this would be a great place. I don't like the atmosphere either, it's weird and eclectic. This could be a really cool Irish pub but it's not. I ordered the Reuben most recently and instead of the corned beef being thinly shaved it was all minced up in little specks. And I don't really like it when places put the Thousand Island dressing on the side. At least the portions are pretty large. Wednesday they have Long Islands on special for $4 and they are fairly large and had some alcohol in 'em.

Classic Fort Wayne dump. This is one of those places that has a 30 page menu and just for that fact alone you know what you are about to order is going to be mediocre at best. Can we just focus on doing a handful of dishes really good? Touts itself as an Irish pub, with nothing really Irish on the menu. Think of a locally owned applebees that counts down the minutes until St. Patricks day and you have flanny's.
